Bread-blamed airport evacuation becomes toast of Twitter

The one day an airport is evacuated because of a slice of bread stuck in a toaster, it happens to be raining outside.

Cork Airport yesterday became something of a Twitter sensation after it emerged its terminal was evacuated because burnt toast set off two smoke alarms, thereby triggering a mandatory evacuation.

Cue the online gags about “a slice of misfortune”, “only in Ireland”, and “I’m going to try this in work.”
