Douglas: Performing oral sex caused my cancer

Hollywood actor Michael Douglas has claimed his stage-four throat cancer was caused by performing oral sex.

The star, who is currently receiving rave reviews for his portrayal of Liberace in Behind the Candelabra, said the cancer was caused by the sexually transmitted disease HPV (human papillomavirus).

In an interview with the Guardian in Britain, the 68-year-old was asked whether he regretted his years of smoking and drinking, which can contribute to cancer, when he received the diagnosis three years ago.
