Gardaí expect further charges in abduction case

Three men have already appeared in court, charged with alleged involvement in the abduction which occurred on May 3 in the Thomondgate area.

The woman, in her 20s who has a baby under a year old, was freed when gardaí raided an apartment at Grattan Court on May 9, following a tip.

After being assisted in a very distressed state from the building, the woman was given urgent medical aid.

Two men, David Casey, and Keith McGrath both with addresses in Clonlara have been charged with false imprisonment of the woman. They were granted bail earlier this week at Limerick District Court.

A third, Jody Curtin, aged 33, from Claughaun Avenue, Garryowen, is being held in Limerick prison having been refused bail at Limerick District Court on Wednesday.

The State objected to bail being granted to Mr Curtin. His is charged with assault causing harm to the woman.
