3.5-year wait for orthodontic work

Children and teenagers in Kerry are waiting an average of three-and-a-half years for routine ortho-dontic treatment, it has emerged.

In the first quarter of 2013, there were 331 people from the county on the waiting list for assessment and treatment, the HSE confirmed.

There was a fixed waiting list of 331 and a recall waiting list of 177.
