Cases to be sent to health minister for ‘transparency’

The Government has attempted to calm concern over the proposed abortion laws by insisting key details on how each case is resolved are sent to the health minister to ensure “transparency”.

Under section 10 of the draft bill, the HSE will be obliged to give details of the working of the new laws to the sitting health minister once a year.
