Travellers’ opportunities ‘suffering severely’ due to Government cuts

The next generation of Traveller children could be “condemned” to unemployment and limited opportunities unless the Government rows back on cuts affecting them, according to a report.

Pavee Point yesterday published ‘Travelling with Austerity’, which looks at the ways in which austerity policies have affected the Travelling community.

It found Travellers had been seriously affected by cuts, with children among those feeling the impact.
