Stabbing accused arrives by horse

Patrick Fouhy, of Ballydaw, Castlelyons, Co Cork, had been charged in March with assault causing harm to Garda Denis Ryan at Fermoy Mart, Corrin, on Mar 21 during a protest.

The 62-year-old arrived for his appearance yesterday before Fermoy District Court on a horse and wearing a brown cowboy hat. There were traffic delays as he made his way along the main street to the court.
