You wouldn't treat a dog the way she was treated. Kicked, beaten, attacked with a pick axe. It was at its worst when she was pregnant: he hated her pregnant. She lost three babies because of domestic violence. One baby was born three months early, and without limbs, so savage was his attack. There was no help out there either. Her GP, the local gardai, the two priests she begged for help, they all turned the other away. It was a domestic matter, they said.
