Evidence battle to blame for trial delay of accused

It’s been three long years but still no sign of a trial for two people charged with the attempted murder of young Irish student Natasha McShane and her friend in Chicago.

As Natasha, now 26, continues to struggle with even the most basic functions, a battle over DNA evidence taken from the baseball bat allegedly used to batter her head in is largely to blame for the trial being delayed.
