File for DPP as McGeever freed

Property developer Kevin McGeever was released last night after being questioned on suspicion of withholding information into relation to his alleged kidnapping.

Detectives working on the case, which they have described as “bizarre”, will prepare a file for the DPP.

The 68-year-old was arrested in Co Galway on Thursday on suspicion of possessing information about an alleged crime, in which he was the alleged victim.
