Expansion at school to ease space pressures

Plans are well advanced to head off a looming crisis which could occur in a Cork City suburb if a major expansion is not carried out at a community college.

Cork County VEC announced it is hoping to have a €4.5m extension to Glanmire Community College completed by Sept 2014.

In recent years space at the college has been at a premium due to its popularity and a major increase in the young population of its catchment area.
