Two items may help find garda’s killers

A child’s car seat and a mechanic’s hammer could hold the key to the identity of the gang who murdered Detective Garda Adrian Donohoe.

Replicas of the two items were placed on display by senior officers yesterday as they renewed an appeal for members of the public to help find the killers.

Crimestoppers also stepped in to boost the reward on offer for information leading to the gang’s capture. A €50,000 reward is already in place from the Irish League of Credit Unions but an undisclosed “substantial” sum from Crimestoppers is thought to double that amount.
