Former taoisigh Bertie Ahern and Brian Cowen will still collect pensions in excess of €140,000 per year under the new Croke Park deal.

The two men who presided over the country as it slid into financial collapse will see their pensions of around €150,000 a year cut by 5%, roughly €7,500.

It will be the same percentage cut for any former public service employees whose pension is worth more than €90,000 per year.
