Cork nets €7m from conferences

International conferences generated just over €7m worth of business for the Cork region last year.

Figures released by the Cork Convention Bureau (CCB) yesterday showed that a total of 8,155 people attended more than 30 large CCB-confirmed conferences in the city last year.

The total value of an international conference delegate over the period of their stay in Ireland is calculated at €1,300-€1,500.
