Cracking day for a pancake

If you’re not a fan of eggs or pancakes today might be a good time to go on a diet.

A survey has predicted as many as 15 million eggs will be cracked open across Ireland this Pancake Tuesday as the country sits down to the annual food festival.

Over the next 24 hours, the Irish Egg Association said breakfasts, lunches and even family dinners will be taken up with an array of floury treats.
