Elderly siblings targeted by burglars

A brother and sister in their 80s have been left traumatised after burglars ransacked their home.

Siblings Danny and Mary Crowley, from Kinsale, Co Cork, who own small farms near the town, returned to Mary’s cottage at about 2pm last Tuesday to discover lights on inside the house and the front door open.

Their cousin Christy Buckley said: “They were going to go in, but then thought they might be beaten up. So they went back into the jeep. As they did that the boys [burglars] ran outside. They opened the door on Danny’s side and pulled off his jacket.
