Fota Wildlife Park expects to have its first two tigers on site by September, it has emerged.

The park is in the process of developing an Asian sanctuary, which is expected to be complete by 2015 and which will also contain lions and rhinos.

The two Sumatran tigers are to come from French and German zoos and will be the start of a breeding programme.
