Sky apologises after ‘Homeland’ finale cut short

Satellite channel Sky has apologised to thousands of Homeland fans after the pre-record system inadvertently cut off the final half hour of the show’s end-of-series episode.

Despite receiving increasingly vocal criticism for its lack of rational plot-lines in the US terrorist-thriller’s second season, Tuesday night’s cliffhanger on RTÉ was still hotly anticipated.

However, people who chose to pre-record it on their Sky boxes faced the grim realisation yesterday that the final 30 minutes of the show was missing.
