GAA club calls in gardaí after €50k goes missing

A Limerick GAA club has called in gardaí after officials discovered a five-figure sum has gone missing from the club’s books.

Alarmed club officers alerted gardaí when they discovered a “hole” in their financial records.

A Garda spokesman last night confirmed an investigation was under way and was at a very early stage.
