Risk of tragedies at ‘lethal’ junction highlighted

The risk of tragedies at a main road junction leading to a sports stadium in Killarney, Co Kerry, has been highlighted by a town councillor.

Brendan Cronin described the Lewis Road junction, near Fitzgerald Stadium on the N22 bypass, as “lethal”.

There have been several multiple-vehicle accidents at the notorious junction, he claimed, and it was also dangerous for pedestrians and cyclists who cross the road to reach the sports ground.
