Film festival awards recognise emerging talents

The curtain came down on the 57th Corona Cork Film Festival last night following the announcement of the award winners at the Triskel arts centre.

The week-long festival was designed to showcase the best of local, Irish and international cinema using familiar venues and one-off screens around the city.

And the awards’ element sought to continue the festival’s tradition of spotting talent early.
