Clare local authorities forced to bail out loss-making Glór music centre

Cash-strapped local authorities were forced to bail out Glór music centre in Ennis to deal with the centre’s accumulated losses last year.

Figures show Clare County Council and Ennis Town Council provided an additional €154,000 last year to address the publicly owned centre’s accumulated losses of €154,146.

The transfer of the €154,000 to the centre is in addition to the €270,000 annual subsidy that the councils provide to Glór.
