Less than three months after having triplets, Clare-based runner Gemma Carcaterra completed the Limerick women’s mini marathon.

A 42-year-old mother has died unexpectedly, only five months after giving birth to triplets.

Although Gemma Carcaterra was steeped in theatre from an early age, the artistic director and CEO of Glór in Ennis, Co Clare, was more interested in working behind the scenes than in performing. 

Cash-strapped local authorities were forced to bail out Glór music centre in Ennis to deal with the centre’s accumulated losses last year.
