The Taoiseach has said the Government will “reflect” on whether judges should have to publicly declare their interests.

He was reacting in the Dáil to Independent TD Shane Ross, who said such a system would ensure greater transparency.

Mr Ross cited the example of Mr Justice John Cooke, who stood aside from a case involving CRH because additional shares in the cement firm had been purchased on his behalf after proceedings began.
