Gardaí probe house gunfire

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses after a shot was fired at a house in Cork City

Nobody was injured in the shooting, which happened at 1.15am yesterday on the northside of the city at Avonmore Park, off Old Youghal Rd.

Garda sources described the couple living in the two-storey house as “respectable” and are working on the likelihood that their home was mistakenly targeted.
