Shatter: No campaigners terrorising parents

Campaigners for a no vote in the children’s referendum have been accused by Justice Minister Alan Shatter of trying to “terrorise” parents with “conspiracy theories”.

The clash over proposed changes to the Constitution exploded into life as a leading anti-amendment advocate compared the State removing a child from its family to “execution”.

No campaigner John Waters warned that the Government would have too much power to remove children from parents if the referendum was passed.
