‘One year of free pre-school isn’t good enough’

The children’s minister is pushing for two years of free pre-school childcare.

Frances Fitzgerald told the Irish Examiner it “isn’t good enough” that Ireland has just one free year of pre-school childcare.

“I’ve certainly proposed a second year of free universal care. I’d like to see that, [and] I think it’s needed in the country.
