A man shot dead in an early-morning attack last week had recently been trying to reconcile with people with whom he had “issues” in the past, his funeral Mass heard yesterday.

Shane Rossiter, aged 30, was buried in Clonmel five days after being shot at a house in Golden, Co Tipperary, and just two weeks after he had attended a Christening ceremony for his nephew.

There was a reminder of another loss suffered by his family when a photograph of Shane’s younger brother, Brian, was one of a number of items brought to the altar in the Church of the Resurrection yesterday.
