Mortgage debt committee has not met since July despite homeowners’ crisis
The cabinet committee on mortgage arrears, chaired by Taoiseach Enda Kenny and including Tánaiste Eamon Gilmore, has not met since Jul 19 and is scheduled to meet again in November.
Mr Kenny announced the establishment of the committee at his party’s árd fheis last March because he was “frustrated that we haven’t been able to move as fast as we wanted to, totackle the mortgage crisis”.
