Stab suspect also wanted over death of mother

An Irishman wanted for questioning over the murder of his mother has been arrested after a woman was stabbed to death in broad daylight in Barcelona.

The 28-year-old, identified by police only as Sean H, was held on suspicion of murder after the woman was knifed in a plush district of the city.

The stabbing happened at about 7am on Saturday near an ATM in the Eixample area.
