Just one of 1,100 public sector perks cut

Just one out of about 1,100 public sector allowances has been scrapped after the Government reneged on plans for a major overhaul of the system.

A range of payments for clothing, controlling office stationery, and working near dirty material will continue to be paid because current staff members will not have their allowances cut.
