Woman found dead may have been thrown down stairs

A man was last night being questioned by gardaí investigating the death of a mother-of-four who is thought to have died after being thrown down the stairs of her home.

The body of Liz Dempsey Duff, 47, was found at the foot of the stairs at her home in Lacken View, Naas, Co Kildare, on Sunday but she may have lay there for some hours before the alarm was raised.

Gardaí have been questioning a man in relation to Ms Duff’s death, which has shocked neighbours in the town.
