Gardaí probe car hijacking and separate assault

Gardaí are investigating separate violent incidents which occurred in Cork early yesterday.

A car hijacking on the Mallow Rd, involving two men, was reported to gardaí shortly after midnight.

Some time later, two men were beaten up in the Ballyvolane area.
