Coveney: Private sector and citizens will rebuild Ireland stone by stone

Agriculture minister Simon Coveney has defended the government’s economic reform plans and said the country must be rebuilt stone by stone.

The Cork TD said that it was not a stimulus package that would solve Ireland’s economic woes but citizens and private companies who would help the recovery.

But speaking at the MacGill Summer School in Donegal, he agreed with the Opposition’s criticism of the government that not enough had been done to address the unemployment crisis.
