Questions over constitutional reform body

Taoiseach Enda Kenny has vowed the new body being established to consider constitutional reform will be innovative and inclusive.

But Fianna Fáil leader Michael Martin criticised the manner in which the Government was setting up the body, saying it would not deliver real reform.

Yesterday, the Coalition brought forward a Dáil resolution to set up the Constitutional Convention. It will consider an array of proposed reforms — starting with reducing the presidential term from seven to five years and reducing the voting age from 18 to 17.
