Armed gardaí arrest teens on grounds of school

Armed gardaí arrested two teenagers on the grounds of a large primary school in Cork yesterday as shocked children looked on.

The suspects were arrested by members of the Cork City Regional Support Unit (RSU) and plain clothes detectives after they fled into the main building of St Anthony’s Boys National School in Ballinlough.

There were hundreds of pupils in classes at the time celebrating their last day in school before the summer break.
