Girl dies after 3 years in care

One girl went into care aged nine and died three years later.

There had been serious allegations of abuse in the home and she and her two younger sisters were eventually brought into care through a full care order.

“Family friction” remained over the circumstances that saw the girls being removed from their family. She had made a statement to gardaí about the abuse of her sister.
