File to be sent to DPP after gardaí quiz 10 Travellers on sulky road race
Up to 60 Travellers took part in the highly dangerous race on the N20 Cork to Mallow road on May 5 last, during which cars and vans — sometimes four abreast — took over most of the width of the road as they followed the two sulkys.
The race was staged between the Blarney and Whitechurch junctions and a number of Travellers refused to pull over for gardaí who tried to intercept them.
