Keating denies plans to move to Sydney after split

Ronan Keating has denied he is planning a permanent move to Australia because of his split from wife Yvonne.

A number of newspapers reported the Boyzone star is planning to relocate to Sydney where he is a judge on the Australian version of the X Factor talent show.

The singer and father-of-three, who attended a World Autism Day coffee morning at the Mansion House yesterday, turned to Twitter later in the day to confirm that despite loving Oz, he will be staying in Ireland.

“I hear some papers are saying I plan on moving to Oz. Great country but my kids live in Ireland and so will I,” he tweeted.

A spokesperson for the Boyzone lead singer confirmed Keating will remain in Dublin for six months of the year, but will need to be in Sydney for filming.

In 2010, the Boyzone star announced the couple were separating, but they later got their marriage back on track. However, in separate Twitter announcements on Sunday, Ronan and Yvonne told fans they were no longer together.

The couple were married for 14 years.

The singer tweeted: “Sadly our news is true. Thank u all for your support. Yvonne and I still love and care for each other and want to protect our kids. X.”

Yvonne Keating wrote on her Twitter page: “Sadly, our marriage ended late last year. We kept this news private to give everybody involved time to adjust. Thanks for your support x.”

Keating and his model wife have three children, Jack, Marie, also known as Missy, and Ali.
