Ahern’s final humiliation as St Luke’s transfers back to Fianna Fáil party

Bertie Ahern will relinquish his grip on his St Luke’s fiefdom in the final act of his humiliating departure from the party he once dominated.

The property, in the middle of the Dublin Central constituency in which Mr Ahern ruled the roost for so long, will revert to the party, it emerged last night.

The trustees of St Luke’s, all close associates of Mr Ahern, issued a statement saying they had contacted Fianna Fáil HQ with a view to commencing discussions on the transfer.
