The tremendous run of success enjoyed by Nicky Henderson’s horses at Cheltenham this week has made one of his staff an overnight millionaire.

The lucky punter was named last night as Cork native Conor Murphy, second head lad at the Henderson yard. He is understood to have landed an accumulator with bookmakers Bet365, featuring five of Henderson’s six festival winners and netted himself as much as £1.4 million (almost €1.7m).

He had a £50 wager at ante-post prices with the firm in November.
