A former bank manager pleaded guilty yesterday to a charge of stealing €14,000 from the Bank of Ireland branch where she worked.

The case against Eucharia Chambers, aged 38, was before Cork Circuit Criminal Court yesterday having been sent forward from Kanturk District Court on Wednesday.

Chambers, of Rockfield, Tralee Rd, Killarney, Co Kerry, faced five charges on the indictment.
