Two jailed over raid on sleeping students

Three students sleeping in a house near UCC were attacked and robbed in the middle of the night, one of them being stabbed.

Yesterday, two of the assailants were jailed.

Timothy Long, aged 31, of Ardcullen, Hollyhill, Cork, was sentenced to seven years in jail, with the last two years suspended. Co-accused, Thomas Long, aged 28, of Dunmore Gardens, Knocknaheeny, Cork, was sentenced to six years with the last two years suspended.
