The North’s former first minister Ian Paisley has shown he is on the road to recovery after his recent health scare.

Mr Paisley, 85, was pictured at home in Belfast laughing, joking and having a cup of tea with his wife Eileen, 10 days after his release from hospital.

The founder and long- time leader of the Democratic Unionist Party was rushed to the Ulster Hospital at Dundonald, on the outskirts of Belfast, at the start of February, suffering from apparent heart failure. At one stage he was in intensive care.
