30 air bags ‘popped’ in raid at Cork car dealership

A well-trained gang with mechanical expertise “popped” 30 safety air bags from 26 cars, mostly new models, which were parked in the forecourt of a garage in Charleville, Co Cork.

What gardaí describe as a most unusual theft was carried out at Lucey Motors between 2.30am and 4am on Wednesday.

Twenty-six vehicles, mostly new Nissan 4x4s, were targeted in what gardaí said was a very technically executed raid.
