Light therapy and hormones tested for treating ADHD

Light therapy and hormones are being trialled as potential treatments for adults with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).

Although more commonly known as affecting children, ADHD is thought to also affect around 100,000 Irish adults.

The symptoms include a poor attention span, impulsiveness, hyperactivity and, in many instances, can lead to people having difficulty managing finances, poor educational achievement, social problems and sometimes marital difficulties.
