Although more commonly known as affecting children, ADHD is thought to also affect around 100,000 Irish adults.

The symptoms include a poor attention span, impulsiveness, hyperactivity and, in many instances, can lead to people having difficulty managing finances, poor educational achievement, social problems and sometimes marital difficulties.
