Private security cost in six HSE hospitals tops €2m in 2010

Private security in six HSE hospitals cost over €2m in 2010 and almost €900,000 for the first six months of 2011.

Topping the list was Cork University Hospital, where security costs were €825,282 for 2010, a rise of more than €100,000 on 2009.

CUH security cost five times more than University Hospital Galway and almost €200,000 more than Dublin’s Connolly Hospital.
