The latest Joint National Listenership Research figures, released yesterday, also showed that Ryan Tubridy has added just 1,000 listeners to his 2FM show in the past three months, while his early morning station colleague Hector Ó hEochagáin lost 1,000 listeners over the same period.

Elsewhere it was a mixed bag for RTÉ. Flagship afternoon programme Liveline added 16,000 listeners since October, meaning 414,000 people were tuning in, while the News at One, hosted by Sean O’Rourke, gained 11,000 listeners to bring its figures up to 345,000.
