Offers of help to locate fishermen come from far and wide

Offers of help flooded in from all over Ireland yesterday after an emotional appeal from the wife of one of two missing fishermen.

The Coast Guard said it now had “ample resources” for a massive search of Glandore Harbour in West Cork this weekend thanks to Caitlín Uí Aodha’s plea.

Ms Uí Aodha spoke out yesterday as the search for her husband, Michael Hayes and crewman Saied Aly Eldin, is set to intensify.
