The income from development charges, one of Cork City Council’s most important income streams, has collapsed.

The council is now taking legal action in 46 cases to recoup just over €2 million in outstanding amounts.

The news emerged as city manager Tim Lucey released new figures in response to written questions from Cllr Sean Martin (FF).
